It is rare these days to come across a true barbershop. Saw this one in Brighton, CO yesterday. The blues and reds in the pole were washed out so I decided to turn the image to black and white and then bring back the colors in the pole.
Went to lunch in Boulder, CO today and came across this excellent trumphet player who also made a great portrait subject. (Click on the photo to view a larger version)
As a photographer who likes to dabble in all sorts of things, I have found the combination of black and white with select color seems to make a simple photograph a bit more interesting. ThereforeCOLORMETHISis a collection of my photographs that I have colorized to one degree or another.
ANDTHAT - From time to time you will see some non-colorized photos that I think might be of interest to you.
The colorization process used involves taking a color photo; changing it black & white; and then bringing out the original colors from the color photo in select areas of the black & white version.
